What is a smart lock?
A smart lock is an electronic door lock that allows you to lock and unlock your door without using a traditional key. You can control it using a fingerprint, PIN code, mobile app, key card, or remote access.
Are smart locks safe?
Yes - modern smart locks are extremely secure. Our locks use AES-128 encryption, anti-peep PIN entry, and tamper alarms. They are built to meet the demands of Australian homes and are more secure than traditional locks.
Why should I choose a smart lock over a regular lock?

- Drill (only if modifications are needed)
Do I need Wi-Fi for the lock to work?
- No. Basic functions like fingerprint and PIN access do not require Wi-Fi. However, remote access and app control features do require a Wi-Fi connection or gateway hub (depending on model).
- Will your smart locks fit my door?
- Our locks are designed to suit standard Australian doors with a thickness of 35β55mm and a backset of 60β70mm. If you're unsure, contact us β weβll help you check.
- What if I have a security screen door?
- You can install our smart locks on your main wooden or metal door. If you also use a screen door, it wonβt affect lock performance as long as there's clearance between doors.

- What happens if the battery dies?
- Our smart locks alert you in advance when the battery is low. If it does go flat, you can still:
- Use the emergency backup key
- Use a 9V battery on the external terminal for instant temporary power
- How long do the batteries last?
- Battery life is around 10β12 months depending on usage. We recommend checking and replacing them annually.
- Can I still use a regular key?
- Yes! All of our smart locks include a hidden mechanical key override for peace of mind.
